I began our sister company, Happy Place – The Cornish Cleaning Company, over 15 years ago, looking after a number of beautiful holiday homes in Rock and Polzeath. In May 2024, I decided to take a slightly different path and accepted a full-time role with Beach Retreats as Area Manager for their Watergate Bay properties. It was during this time that I met Sam — and that’s where our journey began.

While working at Beach Retreats, I continued to run Happy Place on a smaller scale. Then in January, Beach Retreats restructured their operations, outsourcing their housekeeping department. Facing redundancy, Sam and I decided to join forces and build something of our own — and Happy Place Property Management was born.

Shortly after, we were approached by Beach Retreats to take on the housekeeping services for 35 of their properties in Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth. We hit the ground running! Within a short space of time, we secured premises, built a fantastic team of housekeepers, and got to work. Since March, we’ve continued to grow, adding many more properties to our portfolio.

We truly couldn’t have done it without our incredible team. They are the heart and soul of our business — the backbone of everything we do. We’ve always believed that a happy team delivers the best results, and we’ve been proven right time and time again.
